When you clean your bathroom regularly and often, you may only need a simple cleaning cloth to do the job. You don’t have to trot out your entire arsenal of the best bathroom cleaning tools. The complete list of bathroom cleaning supplies can be a long one. But in some cases, you don’t really need them. With the best cloths for bathroom cleaning, the job gets done with minimum fuss.
There are actually several types of different cleaning cloths, and not every type is good for bathroom cleaning. Some are good for wiping away dust, but they’re not effective in cleaning in wet conditions. That makes those cloths rather unusable for bathroom cleaning.
Other types are designed to clean windows and mirrors, and for polishing silver. You even have small microfiber cloths that work great to clean your eyeglasses.
So, which types of cleaning cloths work best for cleaning the bathroom? To answer this question, we’ve prepared a list of particular cleaning cloths that we’ve found to be very effective for bathroom cleaning.
Best Cloths for Bathroom Cleaning
Just pick one from this list, and you’ll be fine.
1. Amazon Basics Blue, White, and Yellow Microfiber Cleaning Cloth
The purpose of the colors is to let you reserve particular cloths for different types of use. You can use one set of color for the bathroom, and another set for the kitchen, for example. The other set may be for general dusting and cleaning around the house.
The 24-pack is also the smallest. You can go with a pack of 36 cloths, or 48 or even 144 cloths. We went with the 24-pack to see if we’d like it. If you try it out and you do like it, then the 144-pack makes more sense. There’s also another option that gives you a pair of car wash mitts.
Each cloth measures about 12 inches by 15 inches, which is just right. It’s not too big to be unwieldy, but it’s big enough to get rid of a lot of grime and dirt. It’s made of 90% polyester with 10% polyamide.
One of these cloths can clean quite quickly and efficiently. It can absorb dirt and grime, and you won’t even have to use chemical cleaners for the most part. They don’t leave lint or streak residue behind. The cloths can absorb enough dirt that weighs up to 8 times the weight of the cloth itself.
The surface of the cleaning cloth is also nicely smooth, so it won’t scratch coats, paints, or the surface of your bathroom mirror. It’s also tough enough that you can rinse the cloth so you can reuse it hundreds of times until it wears out. It’s even machine-washable, so cleaning the cloths isn’t a hassle.
With each cloth costing $0.58 per unit, this represents a true bargain for cleaning cloths.
2. Life Miracle Nano Towels
This comes in packs of 4 cloths, with each pack in a different color. That lets you buy several packs for different uses, differentiating each use with a different color. With 6 colors to choose from, you can get different packs for use in the bathroom, kitchen, and other parts of the house. Each cleaning cloth comes in a square shape, measuring 14 inches on each side.
The material used to make these cloths is special, as Life Miracle created their own proprietary “Nanolon” Fiber. This material was designed to act as a magnet that attracts dirt and grime, including both dust and liquids. That means you can use this for just about any sort of mess, and you won’t really need chemical cleaners (aside from the most stubborn of bathroom grime).
This is basically the next generation of microfiber cloth technology. Spray some water on the grimy area and then give it a wipe with this cleaning cloth. You can even use the dry side of the cloth to dry the area and absorb the water you used.
This works very well for bathroom tiles and other similar surfaces in the bathroom. It’s great for stainless steel and even on glass, and it doesn’t leave streaks. Instead, these surfaces become very clean indeed.
You can use this for various items around the house which needs a bit of periodic cleaning. It works for just about any type of hard surface. You can use this for hardcore cleaning and scrubbing. But it’s also gentle enough for more delicate surfaces, including your expensive sunglasses, camera lenses, and electronics (including your smartphone).
Each cleaning cloth can be used (and then washed for reuse) for about 300 to 400 times. That should be enough for each cleaning cloth to last for 2 to 3 years. While the per unit cost here can be rather substantial (about $6.23 per cloth), the durability and effectiveness of these cleaning cloths make the purchase worth the expense.
3. The Ultimate Cloth
Actually, “Ultimate Cloth” is both the brand name and the name of the product. But it’s not much of an exaggeration to dub this as the “Ultimate Cloth”, since it uses advanced microfiber technology. This isn’t your daddy’s microfiber cloth. At first, the fiber does feel a bit stiff, though it’s still effective in cleaning various surfaces. But it will eventually soften after several uses.
It’s called MiraFiber, which combines numerous microfilaments to create this special, patented fiber. Each of these microfilaments is so fine that each one is about 30 times smaller than human hair.
These filaments are then entangled together in a special way, so that the fiber features microscopic holes. These holes then act as “scoops”, which pull contaminants like oil and dirt from the surface you’re cleaning. You just need to spray a bit of water on the dirt, to make them easier to scrub off.
The cloth “holes” hold on to the dirt, until you wash the grime off with some detergent or soap. Then you can use the cloth for other cleaning tasks again. It’s machine-washable, so cleaning the cloths won’t be a problem. You can even use bleach to disinfect the cloths, and just hang them out to dry afterwards.
This is great for cleaning the bathroom, as it can easily remove toothpaste spatter, hairspray residue, and soap scum. It can make your bathroom mirror sparkle, and it works for your windows as well. It also works for surfaces such as marble, granite, and stainless steel.
But it’s also terrific for your eyeglasses. You can sue it to clean your smartphones and TV, and even your various computer screens. It can get rid of dust and fingerprints without leaving smudges.
These cleaning cloths are extremely durable and tough as well. In fact, you’ll need a force of about 3,000 pounds to tear one of these cloths. This isn’t like an old shirt you used before for cleaning!
4. E-Cloth Microfiber Cloth Starter Pack
Remember how we’ve mentioned in this guide how there are several types of cleaning cloths? Each of these packs has 5 individual cloths. You have 4 of them made for general purpose cleaning, and then the last one is for glass and polishing.
This uses tough microfiber, and each cloth is guaranteed to last either 300 washes or 3 years of use (whichever comes first). These cloths also measure 16 inches by 20 inches, so you have plenty of cloth surface for cleaning.
It’s easy enough to use this pack. Just spray some water on the general-purpose cleaning cloth, and then wipe away on the surface you’re cleaning. You can also just dip the cloth into a bucket of water, if you need more water to work with. Just wring the cloth after wetting, and then start wiping.
Once you’ve wiped a surface clean, you can then use the dry 5th cloth to finish. That last cloth gets rid of any streaks, and leaves with the perfect polish. You can also use this cloth for your eyeglasses, as well as for the screens of your electronics. The dry cloth has a natural positive charge that attracts dust.
Cleaning the cloths after using is easy as well. You can machine wash to cloths up to 195 degrees F with a bit of detergent. Just don’t use any fabric softener or dryer sheets. If you’re using this for bathroom cleaning, then you may want to leave the cloths in boiling water for proper disinfecting.
This is wonderfully versatile. It can clean stainless steel sinks, icky bathroom tiles, greasy stoves, to dirty windows. You just need water, and no nasty chemicals. It really is eco-friendly.
5. Swedish Wholesale Swedish Dish Cloths
This is available in packs of 10 reusable cleaning cloths, and the cost is quite reasonable at about $2 per cloth. That’s not bad, since each cloth can be used about 50 times. Since each dish cloth here can do the job of 15 rolls of paper towels, you save a lot with this option.
But this also works for bathroom cleaning, as this isn’t your ordinary dish cloth. These are made in Europe using premium materials, and not made in China with cheaper alternatives.
In fact, the cloth doesn’t have a smooth texture, and that’s a good thing. It features a linear ridge texture because of the cross-linked cellulose and cotton. It does get soft when wet, for dirt absorption. But you can use it dry for more effective scouring.
Each cloth is unbelievably effective in absorbing dirt and grime. Some of the other options can absorb 10 times the weight of the cloth. But this is doubly effective, since each cloth can absorb at least 20 times its own weight.
The packs of 10 cloths are available in 8 different colors, so you can get one pack for each part of the house. Some of the packs even come in assorted colors, so you can try this pack for use in the bathroom, kitchen, and everywhere else.
Sure, the cloths are great for scrubbing and drying dishes and mugs. But they’re also great for effective bathroom cleaning, as you can use this for scrubbing your bathroom sinks, tubs, and showers. You can also use this for stainless steel, along with other floor surfaces like wood, tile, and marble.
With this cleaning cloth, cleaning really does become easier. It acts like a sponge that absorbs tons of water, but you can squeeze it that it’s almost dry. That makes it easy enough to wash the cleaning cloths after each use. You can just machine-wash them, squeeze each one dry, and then they will get dry very quickly.
It’s true that for effective bathroom maintenance, you’ll need to go over the bathroom regularly with a bunch of cleaning supplies. But for daily bathroom cleaning, you don’t need these tools. And you certainly don’t need nasty chemicals either.
With our options for bathroom cleaning cloths, you can do without these chemicals completely. All you need to do is either to spray the dirty surface, or get the cleaning cloth wet. Each of these cleaning cloths can then wipe off the grime from the bathroom surfaces, as easy as you please.
